Emoji charades
Describe a film, a dish or a memory in emoji only. They guess, you judge.
You get a prompt (a film, a dish, a place, sometimes a memory). You have eight emoji to describe it. Your partner sees the emoji and guesses. You judge. That is the whole game and it is funnier than it has any right to be.
The clue writing is the good part: watching someone try to do “The Godfather” in three emoji is a better night in than the film.
How to play
- 1Pick Emoji charades. Each of you gets four prompts.
- 2Write each clue in emoji only, up to eight.
- 3Your partner guesses your clues while you guess theirs.
- 4Judge the guesses. Close counts if you say it does. Points for every one you get.
- 5Stuck? A hint reveals the first letter.

- Lead with the most recognisable element, then add context.
- The order of emoji is a sentence. Use it.
